Inspired by Thames estuary

Hello, I’m Erzsébet, an acrylic painter. I started creating art during the Covid period, when silence and solitude took on a new meaning in my life. I live in England, on the Thames Estuary, where the water, sunrises and sunsets inspire me every day. For me, painting is the art of staying present. Each of my works is unique, created as a single piece — allowing the viewer to experience the same singular energy from which the artwork was born.

I grew up in a small town beside a salt lake, and throughout my life, water has always been close to wherever I lived. Walking by the water and photographing its changing moods has long been my way of finding true “me-time.” This lifelong connection inspires my acrylic paintings, which blend the colors of earth, water, and sky to bring the calm and quiet harmony of nature into your home.

Landscape painting is closest to my heart, with natural waters appearing as a recurring theme throughout my work. Rather than bold, dramatic colors, I favor a soft, muted palette inspired by nature: duck egg blue, off-white, light brown, yellow ochre, brown, titanium white, gentle greens, and light blues. These subtle tones help create a calm, timeless atmosphere that brings the quiet presence of nature into your space.

I begin each piece with a vision in mind, but allow the materials and my instincts to guide me as I work. I work on high-quality stretched canvases using acrylic paints, each piece carefully varnished for lasting depth and protection. Every canvas is fully painted on all sides, allowing the artwork to be displayed without a traditional frame — ready to hang and enjoy as it is
